FROM THE PRINCIPAL DESK

Dear Students, Parents and Well-wishers,

It is my privilege to admit the progressive achievements of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, the Socio-cultural Institution founded by His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, the great visionary and the 23^rd Pontiff of Sri Kshethra Suttur Math, which has pioneered the concept of Education as a tool for Social change. When there were no educational institutions to meet the ends of the students of all sections of Nanjangud region, JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science was established in the year 1968 in Nanjangud town, the aim of the institution was to impart the need based and quality education to the students of all sections of the region, especially, the students who come from the rural background and poor families. Since, its inception, the College has been rendering its yeomen service to the aspirants of Higher Education of all  sections of the society.

At present, under the Divine Blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji,the present Pontiff of Sri Math, the Chief Patron of JSS Mahavidyapaatha, the College has been moulding the better personality of the students of all faculties. The College is on the path of achievement and accomplishment through serving the interest of the students, parents, alumni, devotees of Sri Math and the elders of the region with having the infrastructure facility, well equipped Laboratories, Library and Information Centre, Multy-Gym, a vast Play Ground with Outdoor and Indoor stadiums and above all the experienced and committed teaching and non-teaching staff.

The College is permanently affiliated to University of Mysore and has been accredited with “B” Grade by NAAC which not only ensures the academic development of the students but also provides them with opportunities to prove themselves by involving in NCC, NSS, YRC, Sports, Yoga-Meditation, Cultural activities and other Curricular and Co-curricular activities. Moreover, in the field of Sports, our College has made a name for itself in producing the committed Sports Players and Yoga-Champions who have been rendering their service in India and abroad.

The efforts of our College have produced educationists, industrialists, businessmen and politicians. Besides many of our Alumni have become teachers, administrators, administrators through occupying responsible positions in Government and private sectors.

Thus, I would like to extend my warm wishes to the Stakeholders of our college and their direct and indirect contribution to the overall development of our college to reach the vision and mission through the achievements and accomplishments.
