ABOUT THE COLLEGE

The JSS College Arts, Commerce and Science, is one of the leading educational institutes, was established on 17th July 1968 with the Divine Blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, the 23rd Pontiff of Srikshethra Suttur Math, and the Founder President of JSS Mahavidyapeetha. The College is permanently affiliated to the University of Mysore, and situated in Nanjangud, Mysore District, Karnataka State. The college is approved under section 2(f) and 12(B) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) act. And the College campus is spread over an area of 14 acres lush green land with state of the modern infrastructure. It provides quality higher education in Arts, Commerce and Science streams at graduate level. The College runs UG programs in the subjects of History, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Commerce, Business Administration, and Computer Science, and has different Short Term /Value Added and Skill-Based Courses. The College re-accredited ‘B++’ Grade in III Cycle by NAAC with CGPA 2.77 in 2020.

  • To sensitize the rural students’ so as to imbibe in them the human values and to create a healthy atmosphere for learning.
  • To promote a sense of National Integration and to achieve the set goals enshrined in our Indian Constitution.
  • To bridge a gap between Knowledge and Development in social, cultural and scientific aspects of the privileged and under privileged sections.
