ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department of Commerce was established in the college in the academic year 1970-71. It was started by a group of sincere, hardworking and dedicated faculty members Prof. Gopalaswamy, Prof. K. Shivamurthy, Prof. G.R. Vasudevamurthy, Prof. S. Linganna, Prof. N. P Padaki, Prof. Umadevi, Prof. K. Shanmukappa, Prof. K.Prakash, Prof. Mallikarjun Pandit, Prof. M.P. Vijayendrakumar, Prof. H.S.Nagendrakumar, Prof. S. Shankarappa, Prof. V.L.M. Patil, Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao have contributed to the growth of the Department.

Our students are from the Nanjangud town and surrounding rural areas. Since inception students of commerce and administration department continuously excelled in academic and co-curricular activities. The results of department have always been the best in our college. Our students proficient in indoor and outdoor games, yoga, NCC, NSS and cultural activities. Many students of the department have winners emerged in sports events.

Our department is providing quality education through personalized approach. The department is striving to bring about all-round development of students through inculcating discipline, creativity, values and morality, leadership qualities, entrepreneurship, multiple intelligence, social and global values.
