About The Department: Department of sanskrit has been started during the year 1962.Since then the department has an enviable academic record, as students secured more Mark’s Every year around 20 students emit as graduates from the department. The department has produced many students who have become lecturer many have entered teaching profession at the primary and secondary level and playing an important role in producing the future citizens of the country. This credit goes to the teaching staff who put forth their efforts to make the subject easy and encouraging them to pursue higher education.

Objectives of the programmes:

• Make students more perfect in sanskrit
• To make students to more progressive spheres of life
• To make the students to understand the concepts, principles and subject matter

Outcomes of the programme:

• Competence in academic writing and oral presentation skill
• Competence in presenting academic research ancient Indian relegion ,literature and history through the sanskrit text book
• Advanced command of the sanskrit language through reading and basic knowledge in pali Buddhist hybrid sanskrit ,and /or vedic sanskrit
